Here in our glossary, is a list of some fantasy football terminology that is commonly used.

TERMDESCRIPTION
ADPAverage Draft Position - Term used to indicate on a particular website, where a player is being drafted in this year's draft. (For example: If a player's ADP is 7.8, he is generally drafted around the 8th pick
AuctionType of draft where owners pay money for players they wish to bid on. Read more here.
BenchPlayers on your roster that you own, but who do not accumulate stats for you. Players can be shifted into and out of the bench slots before and after games are in progress.

BustA player who performs well under expectations
ByeNFL bye weeks
Can't Cut ListA list of stud players who are not allowed to be dropped from your roster. This is to help prevent teams from colluding with one another, by dropping valuable players for others to pick up.
Cheat SheetPlayer ranking sheets used during drafts as guides to help select players.
CommissionerPerson in charge of league settings, rules, league set up, and anything else that needs to be done for the league to operate.
DraftSelecting players to your team roster based on assigned or random draft order. The pool consists of every player from the NFL, less any keepers and any player who has already been drafted.
DynastyA league that rolls over from year to year, with all of the same players remaining on your roster.
FlexPosition on fantasy roster where by which an owner may play a variety of different positions, such as RB, WR, TE (dependent on league settings)
HandcuffDrafting a player's real life NFL backup, so as to insure yourself in case of an injury to your starter.
KeeperIn keeper leagues, owners are allowed to keep a set number of players from their current roster for their team the following season.
Mock DraftA draft that does not count towards anything. It is in a sense, a fake draft, and is generally used to help determine when players are getting drafted, to help in your real draft.
PaydirtScoring a touchdown
PPRPoints per reception - Every catch earns your fantasy player a certain amount of points (dependent on league settings)
RBBCRunning Back By Committee
RotisserieA rotisserie league is one in which stats are accumulated over the course of a season for particular categories. If there are 10 teams, then each team can get a score of 1-10, depending where they finish in that particular category. For example, if you win the home run category, you get 10 points, if you get last, you get 1 point. Stats are accumulated all year, and the total points from the categories are totalled at the end of the year to determine a winner.
SerpentineSee snake.
SleeperA player who is looked at in the later rounds who could become a steal.  The player is generally very undervalued, and can be taken later in the draft than he should.
SnakeDrafting format by which the owner who drafts last in a given round will draft first in the following round and the order is reversed. Also known as serpentine.
StudAn elite, or extremely productive, player at his position. The stud should be started in all situations, barring injury or bye weeks.
VBDValue Based Drafting - Drafting players based on their ability to score more points than other players at their position. Read more here.
WaiverList of free agents in your league who have recently been dropped, so are still on the waiver wire. Each team may try to claim player until waiver period has elapsed. Team with the highest waiver priority will get the player. Read more here.
YACYards after catch/contact - The amount of yards a player gets after catching the ball or the amount of yards a player gets after getting hit for the first time.
